The architects of Workshop of Wonders were assigned the renovation of international trade organization Wake Up’s Zeist office in the Netherlands. Through several different furniture and design elements, the architects created an interior setting that reflects the strong ties between Wake Up and the continent of Asia. The Swedish String cabinets and the Bolon Plank flooring hold a ‘Scandinasian’ character that carry references to both Scandinavian and Asian design – and similar to an Asian pavilion, an enclosed consultation room is created above, on a second floor part so that office work can be performed by several employees at the bottom of a large floating slab.
