Octagon

”The Octagon is a landmark residential building in the heart of Birmingham, and every design decision had to reflect the quality, character and ambition of the scheme. We wanted flooring that would complement the building’s distinctive architecture, premium interiors and resident experience, while also being practical enough for a high-use residential environment. 

Bolon was selected because it offered the right balance of design, durability and sustainability. The finish brings texture, warmth and sophistication to the communal corridors, helping to create a calm and refined atmosphere that feels aligned with The Octagon’s brand. It supports the building’s high-end positioning, and it works beautifully alongside the darker wall finishes, lighting and artwork throughout the space. 

Sustainability was also an important consideration. As a modern Build-to-Rent development, The Octagon has a responsibility to consider materials that are durable, long-lasting and aligned with more sustainable design choices. Bolon’s product credentials gave us confidence that the flooring would support both the aesthetic and operational needs of the building.
