Elle Décor Grand hotel, a project-installation born out of an idea by Elle Décor Italia magazine will between October 5th-21st be set up in the rooms of Palazzo Morando in Milan. This year’s exhibition features Shanghai-based studio, Neri&Hu’s project installation, ‘Invisible Rooms’ which is inspired by the theme of travel and discovery. For the exhibition, Neri&Hu have selected Bolon’s BKB sisal plain black, Graphic Etch and Bolon by JND No. 3 for the floorings.
Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu, founders of Neri&Hu aim for the design to go beyond the hotel interior stereotype:
"We have chosen to go beyond the traditional, static definition of a hotel as a series of functional elements – halls, lounges, restaurants, rooms – and suggest new possibilities through storytelling", say architects Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu to Elle Décor.
