We are very happy to announce that Bolon together with world renowned design duo Doshi Levien received a German Design Award and a Special Mention distinction for the Bolon By You exhibition stand, which was displayed at Salone del Mobile in Milan earlier this year.
Fashioned by Doshi Levien, the exhibit was a visual treat – tying into the 2016 collection and the architecture-infused campaign, ‘Material Interventions’. Impeccably designed, the stand was an impressive structure and an open gallery concept allowed visitors to experience the fusion of various materials alongside Bolon flooring.
Bestowed by the German Design Council, the German Design Award is one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world. The goal of the award is to “discover, present and honour unique design trends”. After the nomination process, the German Design Council invites only the products and services “that demonstrably set themselves apart from their competitors thanks to their design quality”, before an international jury made up of design experts from various disciplines selects the prize-winners.
The Special Mention award distinction is given to products “whose design features particularly successful subaspects or solutions – an award that honours the commitment of companies and designers”.
